Pakistan has strongly denounced renewed assaults by Israeli occupying forces in Gaza, which have reportedly caused civilian casualties, branding the hostilities a flagrant violation of the recent peace agreement.
In an official statement released on Wednesday, the Foreign Office declared that the recent aggression represents a clear infringement of international law and a breach of the newly brokered Gaza peace deal. The communication warned that such actions by Israel jeopardize ongoing international efforts to establish lasting stability in the region.
Islamabad has called upon the global community to take immediate measures to guarantee a complete halt to the ceasefire contraventions by Israeli forces.
Reaffirming its long-standing position on the Palestine issue, the government reiterated its principled support for the creation of an independent, sovereign, and viable State of Palestine. The statement concluded by emphasizing this should be based on the pre-June 1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
