Pakistan Strengthening Ties via Multi-Lateral Engagement in Algeria 

Islamabad, January 29, 2023 (PPI-OT):Pakistan’s Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Zahid Akram Durrani, is leading a parliamentary delegation to the 17th session of the Parliamentary Union of the Islamic Countries (PUIC) in Algiers. During their visit, the delegation has been actively participating in multi-lateral engagements, including bilateral meetings with parliamentary delegations from Qatar, Malaysia, and Burkina Faso.

These meetings were aimed to find mutually beneficial solutions for the region, promote peace, stability, and economic growth. Deputy Speaker emphasized that the bilateral meetings held by the delegation are a testament to Pakistan’s continuous efforts to strengthen its relationships with other countries in the region.

He stated that the discussions on socio-economic and political matters were aimed at finding solutions that would bring benefits to all parties involved. The successful conclusion of these bilateral meetings marks a positive step towards further enhancing the relationships between Pakistan and other nations and promoting peace, stability, and economic growth in the region, said Mr. Durrani.

In addition to the bilateral meetings, the parliamentary delegation also visited the Pakistan House in Algiers, where they were warmly welcomed by the Embassy officials. The delegation appreciated the Embassy’s efforts to facilitate the Pakistani community and expand cooperation with Algeria. Mr. Durrani expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and hospitality extended to the delegation by the Embassy and the people of Algeria.

He emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening its relationship with Algeria and promoting peace and stability in the region. Overall, the delegation’s visit to Algiers, Algeria, has been productive and successful in advancing Pakistan’s goal of strengthening its relationships with other countries in the region. The delegation’s active participation in the PUIC session and the bilateral meetings with other parliamentary delegations demonstrate Pakistan’s dedication to promoting peace, stability, and economic growth in the region.
