The Pakistan government has designated the expansion of exports as its foremost priority under the “Uraan Pakistan” initiative, aiming to guide the national economy towards self-sufficiency, according to the Minister for Planning and Development, Professor Ahsan Iqbal.
The minister articulated the administration’s economic blueprint during a visit to the Pakistan Pavilion at the Gulfood 2026 exhibition held in Dubai, according to a report by MOIB today.
Professor Iqbal emphasised the government’s dedication to fostering an environment of enhanced productivity, superior quality, and continuous innovation throughout the nation”s private sector.
He stated that a central objective of this policy is to elevate the “Made in Pakistan” brand, establishing it as a global hallmark recognised for its quality and excellence.
