Commercial Attaché of the Afghan Consulate in Pakistan on Tuesday called on Pakistani investors to explore opportunities in Afghanistan, emphasizing the strong economic potential between the two nations.
Speaking to members of the Aiwan-e-Sanat-o-Tijarat Quetta Balochistan during his visit, Dr Hemat underscored the inseparable bond between Pakistan and Afghanistan. He highlighted investment prospects in sectors such as gas, oil, mining, dam construction, cement, sugar, and clothing, assuring investors that the Afghan government would provide comprehensive facilities, including the security of life and property.
Dr Hemat urged the business communities of the brotherly Islamic nations to separate politics from commerce to foster mutual growth. He also discussed Pakistan’s implementation of the single-document regime, affirming Afghanistan’s commitment to facilitating smooth trade and investment.
Efforts to operationalize the Pak-Afghan Badini business gate were noted as part of broader measures to support border communities. Dr Hemat stressed the need for economic cooperation to improve livelihoods and avoid political tensions that could impact trade.
