Pakistan’s expression of concern over the increasing tensions in the Ukraine conflict at the United Nations, demand for an immediate ceasefire

Pakistan has expressed deep concern over the intensity of the Ukraine conflict at the United Nations, emphasizing the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire and resolution of the issue through negotiations and diplomatic means.

Speaking at an emergency meeting of the Security Council convened at the request of Belarus, Pakistan’s Deputy Permanent Representative, Ambassador Usman Jadoon, emphasized the need for a peaceful resolution in accordance with the United Nations Charter.

Jadoon stressed that adherence to international humanitarian law is essential and sustainable peace can only be achieved through mutual dialogue and diplomatic engagement.

He reiterated that peaceful settlement is the only guarantee of lasting peace, urging all parties to commit to negotiations and diplomacy.

Pakistan’s statement reflects its commitment to promoting peace and stability in the region and advocates for resolving the issue while respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries.
