Pakistan’s Freestyle Wrestling League to be named Pro Dangal League

KARACHI: Pakistan will be hosting its very first freestyle wrestling league later this year. The organizers, however, have said that Covid-19 situation will allow whether to host the event or not.

The League is owned by Pakistan’s sports management company Strawberry Sports Management while Pakistan Wrestling Federation will give technical assistance.

The League will feature top most players of freestyle wrestling through city based franchise model.

Strawberry Sports Management announced the name of the League and also unveiled its logo. Speaking on the occasion, Haider Ali Daud Khan, Chief Executive Officer of Strawberry Sports Management said “We have announced the name of the league as Pro Dangal League with great pride. Freestyle Wrestling is a sport with deep connections with our soil. Dangal resonates with our culture and reflects the traditional side of wrestling.
