Pakistan’s newly appointed ambassador, Shafqat Ali Khan, officially commenced his diplomatic tenure by presenting his credentials to UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, signaling a renewed commitment to fortifying the enduring relationship between the two nations.
The formal ceremony took place at the prestigious Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi, where the new Pakistani envoy was received alongside other recently appointed ambassadors. An official statement confirmed the event was attended by high-ranking officials, including Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE’s Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court.
During the reception, Sheikh Mohamed welcomed the new diplomats and underscored the UAE’s dedication to enhancing international cooperation and promoting global peace and stability. He assured the envoys of his leadership’s complete backing to help them effectively carry out their duties and improve bilateral relations with their respective countries.
Ambassador Khan conveyed heartfelt messages of goodwill and respect from the leadership of Pakistan, extending their best wishes for the continued progress and prosperity of the United Arab Emirates. In return, Sheikh Mohamed warmly reciprocated the sentiments and expressed his hope for the ambassador’s success in his mission to bolster Pakistan-UAE ties.
The significant gathering was also attended by a host of senior UAE dignitaries, including H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs; H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; and Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President, along with several other ministers.
