People hold demo in Doda against eviction drive

Jammu, January 21, 2023 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a protest demonstration was held in Doda district of Jammu region against the BJP regime’s decision to evict people from their land. Continuing the protests against the eviction order, hundreds of people held a peaceful protest in Doda town, demanding revocation of the eviction order. The protesters marched in streets of the town and submitted the memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner Doda.

The protesters said the decision of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) regime to evict people from their lands is affecting thousands of families and will render them homeless in the harsh winter. They said, the newly imposed laws by the Modi regime are intended to disempower people. Pertinently, the Hindutva BJP-RSS fascist Indian government and its administration in IIOJK have launched a massive eviction drive in all districts of the territory to grab the land of Kashmiri Muslims, which has been in their possession for generations.

The occupation authorities are snatching the Kashmiris’ land in the name of a so-called anti-encroachment drive. Lacs of kanals of land of locals in all districts of the Kashmir Valley and Muslim majority areas of the Jammu region have been snatched by the BJP regime from the Kashmiris so far.
