PKMAP protests alleged rigging in PB-45 re-poll

The Pushtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PKMAP) activists and leaders here on Sunday staged a protest demonstration, pressing authorities to take notice of alleged rigging during the re-poll of PB-45 Quetta.

The protest was held outside the Allama Iqbal Open University’s Satellite Town campus, where one of the 15 polling stations was designated for the re-poll.

Speaking to the media, Senior Deputy Secretary of PKMAP Quetta, Jamshed Dotani, claimed that the majority of PKMAP supporters’ votes had already been cast at the polling station set up within the university campus. He further alleged that the voters’ list revealed the registration of new voters in the constituency after the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) had issued the re-poll schedule.

Dotani urged the authorities to ensure a transparent election process, warning that the party would continue its protests if the issue was not addressed.
