Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed profound grief over the killing of eight Pakistanis in Mehrstan, Sistan province, Iran, highlighting the incident as a matter of grave concern on Iranian soil.
On 13 April 2025, Sharif offered condolences to the bereaved families and emphasized the threat terrorism poses to regional stability. He advocated for a unified strategy to combat such threats.
The Prime Minister urged the Iranian authorities to apprehend the perpetrators swiftly and ensure they face justice. He also requested transparency regarding the motives behind the killings.
Directives were issued to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to engage with the victims’ families and arrange the repatriation of the bodies.
