PM inaugurated Khuchlak-DIK highway, CM tells

ZHOB: Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan has said that Prime Minister of Pakistan had fixed the plaque of CPEC’s western route in Balochistan.

 

Prime Minister, Imran Khan, inaugurated Khuchlak-Zhob-Dera Ismail-Khan highway and work on the said highway would soon be commenced, he informed while addressing a public meeting here on Sunday.

 

He said that development schemes were being planned keeping in view the requirements of people. He added previous governments planned development projects on political basis which could not be completed till today. He added apart from completing development projects initiated by previous regimes, the incumbent provincial government was executing new development schemes.

 

He remarked, “If funds allocated for Balochistan had been utilized properly, the province would have progressed”. He said, “Our performance is worrying people.”

 

He said measures would be adopted for improving the lot of people residing along the border after completion of fencing process along the border with Afghanistan. He said eighteen thousand youth had been provided job opportunities during the last two-and-half-year period, adding that more youth would be appointed in different government departments. Khan said that the government had so far treated 1,500 patients of cancer free of cost.
