Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday inaugurated the Pakistan Assan Khidmat Markaz, a comprehensive service facility in the federal capital designed to centralise and simplify public access to multiple government agencies under a single roof.

During the inaugural ceremony, the prime minister extended his gratitude to Azerbaijan”s President, Ilham Aliyev, acknowledging the crucial support provided by the Azeri government in establishing the new public service centre.

Mr Sharif recalled a previous visit to Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, stating he was profoundly impressed by a similar service delivery model implemented by the Azeri authorities for their citizens.

The newly established facility will house desks from various state institutions, including the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), the Foreign Office, and police services, to provide a streamlined experience for the general public.

The prime minister also announced that the scope of this one-window service initiative is set to be expanded, with similar centres planned for establishment in Muzaffarabad and Gilgit-Baltistan in the future.

Prior to the inauguration, Mr Sharif was given a comprehensive briefing regarding the operational framework and the range of services the centre will provide.
