Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif today called for a coordinated regional strategy against terrorism after eight Pakistanis were killed in Iran’s Sistan province.
Sharif expressed deep grief over the incident in Mehrestan and stressed the need for collective efforts to combat terrorism”s impact on regional countries.
Sharif urged the Iranian government to swiftly bring the perpetrators to justice and disclose the motives behind the attack. He emphasized the importance of a transparent judicial process to address the incident.
The Prime Minister instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to liaise with the families of the victims and the Pakistani embassy in Iran to ensure the safe return of the deceased”s bodies to their homeland.
