LAHORE: Police have arrested DG Parliamentary Affairs Rai Mumtaz and also raided residences of Secretary Punjab Assembly and DG Coordination, according to a report on Sunday.
Police have also taken control of Punjab Assembly building and personnel have been deployed at all entrances of the house ahead of Sunday’s session.
Meanwhile, Speaker Punjab Assembly, who had summoned the session on May 22 instead of prior announced date of May 30, condemned the police action and claimed that all this was being done on directions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Fake government is taking steps against constitution and now entire nation has seen true face of Sharifs, he added.
