A meeting was held under the Clean Punjab Campaign in Okara, chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner General Hafiz Muhammad Umar Tayyab and Member of Provincial Assembly Mian Muhammad Munir. League leader Chaudhry Fayyaz Zafar and officials from the Solid Waste Management Company also attended the meeting.
On this occasion, officials from the Sahiwal Water and Sanitation Services Company gave a detailed briefing on providing a clean environment during Eid al-Adha. The company officials stated that a comprehensive strategy will be adopted for cleanliness in all three tehsils of the district.
Cleanliness arrangements are ongoing in cattle markets within the tehsils. During the days of Eid, each tehsil will be divided into zones, and collection points will be established at the union council level.
Animal waste from sacrificial animals will be collected from door to door. The company will also provide bags for waste collection.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner instructed the use of all resources to provide the public with a clean environment. The Member of the Provincial Assembly emphasized working diligently for public service, describing the campaign as a project of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
