President Zardari Urges Enhanced Cooperation as Six New Envoys Present Credentials

President Asif Ali Zardari today formally accepted the diplomatic credentials of newly appointed envoys from six nations, using the occasion to underline the importance of strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation with their respective countries.

The ceremony, which took place at Aiwan-e-Sadr on April 7, saw the formal presentation of credentials from the designated ambassadors of Ethiopia, Spain, Cuba, Portugal, and Tanzania, alongside the high commissioner-designate of Singapore.

President Zardari received the credentials from Dr. Oumer Hussain Oba of Ethiopia, Mr. Carlos Aragon Gil de la Serna of Spain, Mr. Damian Cordero Torres of Cuba, and Mr. Paulo Miguel Guedes Domingues of Portugal.

Also presenting their letters of credence were Singapore’s High Commissioner-designate, Mr. Ishak bin Ismail, and Tanzania’s Ambassador-designate, Lt. Gen. (Rtd) Yacoub H. Mohamed.

The President extended a warm welcome to the new diplomats and congratulated each on their appointment, emphasising the pivotal role they will play in advancing relations with Pakistan.
