Press Club’s Governing Body Dissolved, Committee Formed for 2026 Elections

The governing body of the Badin Press Club has been formally dissolved following a general body meeting, and a new election committee has been immediately formed, paving the way for the 2026 annual elections.

This decision was made through mutual consultation during a meeting on Monday, which was held under the chairmanship of Shaukat Memon and attended by a large number of the club’s journalist members.

A three-member election committee was formed to oversee the upcoming electoral process. Senior journalist Altaf Shad Memon was nominated as its chairman, while Farhan Memon and Munawar Jamali were appointed as members.

The participants of the meeting, while appreciating the performance of the dissolved administration, praised the commendable efforts of the outgoing officials for the construction and development of the press club and the welfare of its members.

During the meeting, the proceedings of the previous meeting were also formally approved. On this occasion, numerous senior journalists, honorary members, and media professionals, including Tanveer Ahmed Arain, Ilyas Malik, Abdul Shakoor Memon, Abdul Majeed Mallah, Sawan KhasKheli, Abdul Hameed Soomro, and Imran Abbas Khawaja, attended.
