Private hospitals ordered to register for covid vaccination centers establishment

KARACHI: Sindh Healthcare Commission (SHCC) has directed the private sector health care establishments to register with SHCC for establishment of the Covid Vaccination Centers , PPI learnt on Sunday.

In this connection, SHCC issued a public notice in which private sector health care establishments have been instructed to register with SHCC for establishment of Covid vaccination centers to facilitate vaccination of general public while letters have also been sent to the private sector health care establishments and the Directorate of Licensing and Accreditation SHCC has made checklist for establishment of Covid Vaccination Centers.

Any private sector healthcare establishments found providing Covid vaccination services without registration with SHCC will be penalized as per SHCC Act and Regulation.

The Directorate of Clinical Governance and Trainings has conducted training sessions for general practitioners and hakeems at a local hotel of Hyderabad division. The Training on Minimum Service Delivery Standards for Tibb e Unani was attended by 42 hakeems. Training session on Sindh Service Delivery Standards for PHC and Clinics was also attended by 46 physicians. In the end, certificates were distributed to all attendees of healthcare establishments.

Acting Director Anti-Quackery Yaseen Veesar in pursuance of letter issued by the District and Session Judge Badin attended a meeting with criminal justice coordination Committee under directions of National Judicial (Policy Making) Committee.

The matter of illegal de-sealing was discussed in the meeting. District and Session Judge Badin directed Director Anti-quackery and DHO to coordinate with police and initiate legal action against violators. The Directorate has sealed a total of 4,501 healthcare establishments across Sindh so far. The Directorate of Complaint has received a total of 164 complaints so far out of which 124 complaints are disposed of, 32 are under process and eight are sub-judice.
