During a protest on Moro National Highway organized by a banned nationalist party against canals and corporate farming on the Indus River, the bungalow of Provincial Interior Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjhar was set on fire. Several arrests were made by the police, and four people were injured during their action against the protesters.

During the protest, the police fired aerial shots to disperse the demonstrators, resulting in injuries to four individuals who were immediately taken to Moro Hospital. After briefly opening the national highway, a large number of agitated individuals returned to the road and blocked it again.

The protesters pelted stones at the police and trailers, breaking the glass of several vehicles. Trailer drivers were beaten with sticks and removed from their vehicles. The agitated protesters also set a petrol tanker on fire, posing a risk of significant damage.

To control the situation, additional police forces have been called from other areas. The intense reaction from the protesters has challenged law enforcement agencies and poses a threat of further deterioration in the law and order situation.
