PTI’s Adil claims people of Gilgit rejected Nawaz, Bilawal

KARACHI:Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice President and the leader of parliamentary party in Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh has congratulated and paid rich tribute to the people of Gilgit-Baltistan for peaceful elections, especially to the women voters who came out of their homes and cast their votes.

 

Addressing a press conference at Huaind Lakhani Secretariat here Monday, he said the elections were held in free and fair atmosphere. He said that the narrative of the PDM had failed and the conspiracies of PML-N were being foiled. He said the people of Gilgit were educated and well aware and the opposition was given a message that the PTI was not selected but elected by the people of Pakistan.

 

Adil said the people of Gilgit listened to all parties and then took their own decision. He said economy was on a better trajectory and value of Pakistani rupee against the US dollar was increasing. He said Maulana tried his best but in vain. He said in Gilgit, the PPP and PML-N had spread corruption. He said Bilawal Bhutto said they would make Gilgit another Sindh. He said the people of Gilgit had already seen the worsening condition of Sindh and they did not give vote to Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. He said the resources of Sindh were used in Gilgit elections.

 

Adil said that the assets of Imran Khan had decreased after his becoming Prime Minister. He said his nephew Waqas Ahmed was now in court and they would take legal action against Safdar Awan. He said Imran Khan would fulfill his promises with the people of Gilgit. He said our war against corruption would be intensified.

 

Adil said he praised the police performance in Alisha case. He said the sections of the Zainab Act should be included in this case. He said the arrested accused should be given exemplary punishment. He said: “We will play our role so that the absconders in this case are arrested at the earliest. We are of the opinion that such culprits should be publicly hanged, but the PPP has opposed this proposal.”

 

He said the PMD should not stage rallies due to coronavirus. He said coronavirus is increasing rapidly. He prayed for the early recovery of chief minister Murad Ali Shah, MNA Amir Liaquat and other coronavirus patients.

 

He said people had already rejected the narrative of the PMD. He said people would not forgive the elements who were hatching conspiracies against Pakistan. He said the economy of the country was improving. “We are taking steps against price hike and would soon provide relief to the people,” he said.
