Lahore, May 10, 2018 (PPI-OT):Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif inaugurated the new outdoor block and hepatitis filter clinic at DHQ Hospital Nankana Sahib, today. He went to physiotherapy centre and different wards and inspected the medical facilities provided to the patients. He also inquired the patients and their attendants about the healthcare facilities provided to them. They thanked the Chief Minister adding that DHQ Hospital Nankana Sahib has been totally transformed as the best institution of the province. Talking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that people have the priority-right over the resources and hospitals are being redone so that the poor and the rich could be equally treated in the same hospital.

Talking to the media-men afterwards, the Chief Minister said that Punjab government has brought revolution in the health sector adding that this revolution will be extended to the whole of Pakistan. Change in public sector hospitals in Punjab is no less than a revolution, he said. Best medical facilities and provision of free quality medicines have been ensured in government hospitals. He said that DHQ Hospital Nankana Sahib has been reconstructed and now it is no less than any privately run institution with regard to healthcare facilities.

He congratulated the Health Minister Kh. Imran Nazir and his team for this achievement and said that a new world of facilities has been arranged in this hospital. Earlier, when I visited this hospital, there was nothing except pain and misery, he said and added that he has been happy to see best medical facilities available in this hospital today. He said that most modern hepatitis filter clinic has been established in this hospital and best cleanliness system is also provided along with latest dental surgery system.

The CT scan machine is being arranged for this hospital which will be operationalized at the end of this month, he said. He said that Punjab government has done away with the outdated and corrupt system of the past and no one will force the patients to arrange their CT scan from the outside. He said that effective waste management system has been adopted for the hospitals and French made incinerators have been installed while these plants are being procured from the UK as well.

Incinerators are being installed in public sector hospitals in the province to scientifically dispose of the hospital waste. He congratulated the people over revamping of the hospitals and said that automatic beds have provided in this hospital with a cost of Rs. two lakh per bed. This was the right of ten crore people of Punjab which we have returned them back, he said. Chief Minister said that Imran Niazi remained busy in sit-ins, lockdown and creating hurdles in the journey of development during the last five years. He wasted time of the nation and blocked the journey of prosperity to snatch away the joys of the nation. He also lied day and night and tried to hoodwink the nation with his spate of allegations.

He has ruined the KPK. I invite him to come to Punjab and we will educate him about the norms of public service. We will tell them what honesty, hard work and trust is. It is their mistake if they think that they could win the elections by luring other parties’ candidates. People will give a befitting reply to their slackness, falsehood, mendacity and hurdles in the journey of development in the upcoming elections. They have wasted time of the nation and did not develop any new hospital, educational institution or forensic lab in the KPK.

We have promoted the journey of public development and speedy national development in South Asia with commitment. I invite the leadership of Sindh, KPK and Balochistan to come here and learn the lesson of public service. He said that people have told him that there is no quality school and hospital during his recent visit to Matiari Sindh and roads are also broken. I have promised to them that Pakistan will be made a strong country if an opportunity is accorded by Almighty Allah and we will work hard to make Pakistan stronger according to the vision of Quaid and Iqbal.

The governments of Sindh and KPK have violated the sanctity of vote by failing to serve the people. Now, the people will hold their accountability and will vote to such leadership having the ability to serve the 20 crore people of Pakistan. He said that he has met with the patients during a visit to the hospital and they have said that the hospital has been totally redone. It is the need of the hour to prove our mettle in the field of health and education and this goal can be achieved by following the golden principles of honesty, trust and hard work, concluded the Chief Minister.
