PYMA Applauds PM Sharif and Military for US-Iran Truce Facilitation

KARACHI: The Pakistan Yarn Merchants Association (PYMA) has commended Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir for their pivotal role in mediating a truce between the United States and Iran. The association’s chairman, Muhammad Saqib Goodluck, highlighted the truce as a significant achievement that not only saved lives but also enhanced Pakistan’s global standing.

According to Pakistan Yarn Merchant Association, Goodluck expressed that the diplomatic success has set the stage for regional peace and reinforced Pakistan’s reputation as a responsible nation. “This ceasefire is a landmark moment. Pakistan’s leadership has not only safeguarded human lives but also enhanced the country’s prestige worldwide,” he stated.

Addressing domestic issues, Goodluck urged Prime Minister Sharif to address the challenges faced by the business community, citing excessive taxation and rising operational costs as major obstacles. He called for reduced taxes and a more favorable environment for trade and industry. Goodluck pointed to PYMA’s budget proposals as offering practical solutions to economic challenges and advocated for their inclusion in the upcoming federal budget to benefit the national economy.

Additionally, he requested the government to involve PYMA leadership and the broader business community in economic policy-making. “Consultation with stakeholders will ensure that policies reflect ground realities and help steer Pakistan towards sustainable economic growth,” he added.
