Rain forecast with strong winds and thunderstorms in different parts of the country

The meteorological department has forecast rain with strong winds and thunderstorms in most parts of the country, while severe weather is likely in most places of northeastern Balochistan, lower Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and southern Punjab.

Varying temperatures were recorded in major cities this morning. Karachi was the warmest with 23 degrees Celsius, followed by Lahore at 18 and Peshawar at 15 degrees. Islamabad and Quetta both recorded a temperature of 11 degrees.

In the northern areas, Gilgit and Muzaffarabad recorded 9 degrees Celsius, while the tourist destination of Murree had the lowest temperature at five degrees Celsius.

According to the meteorological department, a similar weather situation is expected in illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, where Srinagar, Jammu, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramulla are likely to have partly cloudy skies with rain and thunderstorms.

Temperatures recorded in the region this morning included Jammu at 21 degrees Celsius, while Srinagar, Anantnag, and Shopian were at 10 degrees. Pulwama and Baramulla were at 9 degrees Celsius, and Leh recorded a freezing temperature of zero degrees.
