The repatriation process for Afghan nationals residing illegally in Pakistan is moving swiftly as the deadline set by the government has passed. As of April 12, an additional 7,025 undocumented individuals have been returned to Afghanistan, bringing the total number of repatriated Afghan nationals to 935,870.
The Pakistani government is taking firm legal measures against those who continue to stay illegally, including Afghan Citizen Card (ACC) holders. Authorities are committed to ensuring the return process is conducted respectfully and efficiently, with no tolerance for mistreatment.
To support the returning nationals, the government has put in place provisions for food and healthcare. The initiative underscores Pakistan’s focus on an orderly and dignified repatriation.
