Islamabad, November 01, 2020 (PPI-OT):Secretary Information and Broadcasting Akbar Durrani has said a reforms package is being introduced in consultation with all stakeholders to resolve longstanding issues of regional press. For this purpose, he visited PID office Faisalabad yesterday to get first-hand knowledge of regional press’ problems. He said the ministry of information is pursuing policies of digitalization to improve performance of its attached departments. He said the private organizations should too follow these reforms.
He said all main offices of the ministry will be connected through e-filing after December this year. The Secretary made it clear that problems being faced by media workers relating to regional press will automatically be resolved once major issues of this media are addressed. He said regional press is an important part of mainstream media, which is playing its due role in highlighting people’s problems.
