Karachi, July 31, 2018 (PPI-OT): Chairman DMC Central Rehan Hashmi has expressed his determination to make DMC Central the cleanest Distt. Of the city while addressing the DMC officers in a meeting at Gulberg Zone here. Deputy Commissioner (Farhan Ghani) and Municipal Commissioner (Central) were also present in the meeting. Rehan Hashmi said that Municipal services are for the common people and it has increased after the election activities.
Rehan Hashmi announced to restart the cleaning campaign of the Rain drains in DMC Central that had been suspended because of elections. He warned the Officers of the B and R, Parks and Play grounds and specially the Sanitation departments of to make the DMC main roads clean by 2nd August 2018. Deputy Commissioner Farhan Ghani admired the municipal services rendered by the officers and workers of the DMC Central during the election and keeping the polling stations clean and light arrangements on 25th July the day when the General Elections were held.
Municipal commissioner Waseem Soomro warned the officers and the workers of the Sanitation department to keep main roads and other areas of DMC Central clean or disciplinary action might be taken against those showing negligence in performing duties. Rehan Hashmi had already started the cleaning campaign to clear the rain drains but it was suspended by the order of Election Commission during the General elections. However, Rehan Hashmi has announced to resume the cleaning of rain drain.
