Religious scholars asked to create awareness about SOPs

NASEERABAD: Deputy Commissioner, Naseerabad, Azhar Shehzad has said that it was our responsibility to get SOPs implemented so that people could be protected from novel coronavirus.

These views were expressed by him while presiding over a meeting here on Thursday regarding implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) against COVID-19 pandemic. He urged religious scholars to create awareness amongst masses in their Friday’s sermons for using face mask and sanitizers in order to protect people from that deadly virus.

He said that novel coronavirus was incurable; however, adherence to SOPs could save the lives of people. Shehzad said that it was the responsibility of transporters to ensure wearing masks and use sanitizers in their transports. The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner, Ghulam Hussain Bhangar, Assistant Commissioner, Hudaibia Jamali, District Health Officer, Naseerabad, Dr. Abdul Manan, religious scholars, transporters and others.
