Literary circles on Monday observed the 54th death anniversary of renowned poet Nasir Kazmi The famous Urdu poet Nasir Kazmi passed away on this day in 1972 in Lahore.
He was born in Ambala, India in 1925 and, after the creation of Pakistan, moved to and settled in Lahore.
During his professional life, Kazmi served as the editor of various newspapers.
He was also actively associated with Radio Pakistan and several other literary organizations.
The title of his first poetry collection was “Barg-e-Nai”.
