A global mobility platform, inDrive, has concluded an in-person learning seminar in Karachi, connecting its top-performing drivers with prominent digital creators to foster skills beyond their work on the road.
According to a statement today, the gathering was a component of a wider digital education programme launched by the company on the LearnOnline.pk platform. The scheme provides drivers with complimentary access to online courses designed to build practical skills and open up future career opportunities.
During the seminar, a panel of invited experts and influencers shared their personal and professional experiences. The speakers, including Ismailblogger, Rehan Allahwala, Imran Ali Dina, Sajjad Khan, and Waqar Siddiqui, offered practical insights on applying digital knowledge to daily life and exploring new avenues for personal growth.
Awais Saeed, Country Manager for inDrive Pakistan, stated that the objective is to help drivers access new prospects for themselves and their families. ‘By extending access to digital education and creating spaces for learning and dialogue, we aim to help our drivers unlock new opportunities,’ he said. ‘With initiatives like this, we want to empower our drivers with skills that can enhance their livelihoods and contribute to their personal and professional development.’
To incentivise the learning effort, the company awarded a laptop to the highest-achieving driver in the online programme. The prize was won by Muzafar Shah, who has been a partner with the platform for over three years.
‘My son had been asking for a laptop for some time, and I wasn’t sure I could afford one,’ Mr. Shah shared. ‘Winning this means I can finally support his studies, and my wife can explore educational content and develop new skills. This will benefit our whole family. Programmes like this empower us and open new opportunities.’
The initiative aligns with the company”s stated focus on community empowerment, complementing its core ride-hailing operations. By introducing skill-building schemes, inDrive aims to contribute to Pakistan’s broader digital and social development.
