KARACHI:Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department has collected a total of Rs112514.159 million tax from July 2022 to May 2023. This was informed by Provincial Minister for Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department Mukesh Kumar Chawla on Sunday,

According to the details, Rs9476.699 million tax has been collected in terms of motor vehicle tax, Rs66690.691 million in the form of infrastructure cess, Rs674.931 million in the head of professional tax and Rs3.417 million in the form of cotton fee, while the remaining amount was received in the form of other taxes.

Kumar expressed satisfaction over the overall situation of tax collection as saying that Sindh excise department had achieved more than 90% tax targets and would get more than 100% tax targets till 30th June. He advised tax defaulters to take the advantage of online tax filing facility so that they do not face any unpleasant situation.
