Saddened by the loss of precious lives in the incident near the US Consulate: Sindh Speaker, orders transparent investigation

Speaker of the Sindh Assembly, Syed Owais Qadir Shah, has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of precious lives in the incident that occurred near the US Consulate and has ordered the relevant authorities to conduct a transparent investigation into the matter.

Owais Shah, in a statement today, emphasized that it is imperative for the nation to adopt tolerance, forbearance, and the constitutional path during difficult times.

He urged the public to ensure adherence to law and order in any reaction, and said that in a democratic society, the expression of dissent must remain within peaceful and constitutional limits.

The Speaker also expressed sorrow over the martyrdom of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei.

He reiterated that the protection of the lives and property of citizens is the fundamental responsibility of state institutions.

Syed Owais Qadir Shah concluded by saying that the Sindh Assembly will continue to fulfill its parliamentary responsibilities to promote peace, tolerance, and interfaith harmony.
