Second Young Man Injured During Protests in Moro Succumbs to Injuries

The second young man, Irfan Ali Laghari, injured in the violent incident during the ongoing protests in Moro, passed away in a hospital in Hyderabad today. His body was handed over to his family after necessary procedures.

Earlier, another young man, Zahid Ali Laghari, had also died, and nationalist and lawyer organizations protested on the National Highway due to the nonregistration of the case.

On the other hand, Pakistan Peoples Party District President Naushahro Feroze Suhail Akhtar Abbasi, General Secretary Masroor Rajpar, and Coordinator Lanjar House Moro Dost Ali Solangi said in a press conference that the lawyer community and other parties had protested peacefully against the canal and green farming, and there was no violence in any area.

They further stated that the opponents had conspired with an antinational organization to conduct negative propaganda against the party leadership, and during the guise of protests, the house of the provincial interior minister Sindh, ZiaulHassan Lanjar, was set on fire, which is a condemnable act.

The PPP leaders said that the party has faced terrorism in the past and was prepared to do so again today. In recent days, the party leadership has been receiving threats and negative propaganda. A case has been registered for the incident that occurred two days ago, and an independent and transparent investigation will be conducted through a JIT to bring the culprits to justice.

The PPP leaders stated that at a time when relations with the neighboring country are tense, the violent demonstrations by antinational organizations are targeting the political leadership. The People’s Party has expressed its determination that it will not bow down to terrorists, and with the cooperation of the public, such elements will be confronted robustly.
