Karachi, October 02, 2018 (PPI-OT): Sindh Minister for Women Development Syeda Shehla Raza visited the Women prison, the other day. Incharge Sheeba Shah welcomed the Minister, Director Women Development Musarrat Jabeen and other officials were accompanied. The Minister Women Development Syeda Shehla Raza vent around the different wards and met Women prisoners and their children there. She was informed about the facilities Vocational and Technical Training imparted to them and legal support in their cases.
On the occasion the Minister Women Development has said that the government is planning comprehensive programme for the welfare and well-being of the Women Prisoners the department is working as various projects to rehabilitate and factor. Women regard especially prisoner women. She assured that all legal aid and support would be extended to the genuine cases of the Women Prisoners on priority.
She further said that she would personally listen the grievances and issues if women on fill 96 every week and personally resolve the issues. The department has also taken initiative to reactivate the complaint call and helpline 109. She would undertake the tour of other cities to monitor the cases, she concluded.
