Significant drop in gold and silver prices, precious metal rates fall

Due to a bearish trend in the international market, the local bullion market saw a significant decline on Saturday, with a sharp drop recorded in the prices of both gold and silver.

The price of 24-karat gold per tola decreased by Rs 2,000 to a new level of Rs 452,262. Similarly, the price of 24-karat 10-gram gold closed at Rs 387,741 after a decrease of Rs 1,715.

The price of 22-karat 10-gram gold also saw a decrease of Rs 1,572, reaching Rs 355,442.

The silver market also experienced a significant decrease in value. The price of 24-karat silver per tola fell by Rs 220 to Rs 6,464. The price of 10-gram silver also ended the day at Rs 5,541 after a decrease of Rs 189.

This decline in local precious metal prices is in line with changes in the global market. In the international market, the price of gold closed at $4,299 after a decrease of $20. Silver’s price saw a more significant drop internationally, with its value falling by $2.20 to $61.92.
