Significant Haul of Narcotics and Arms Seized as Police Apprehend 14 in Capital City

Fourteen individuals, including five wanted fugitives, were taken into custody during a comprehensive security operation across the federal capital that also resulted in the seizure of a substantial quantity of illegal narcotics and weaponry.

According to Islamabad police report today, the widespread initiative, conducted under special directives from Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, is part of an ongoing effort to combat criminal elements and enhance public safety.

Police teams from the Karachi Company, Tarnol, Sangjani, Noon, Lohi Bher, Nilore, and Shahzad Town stations arrested nine suspects. Authorities confiscated 1,096 grams of hashish, 1,385 grams of heroin, and 60 grams of ice from their possession. Additionally, three pistols with ammunition and a dagger were recovered.

Official cases have been registered against the apprehended suspects, and further investigations are underway.

In a parallel campaign targeting fugitives, law enforcement officials also apprehended five proclaimed offenders and court absconders.

SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, affirmed the police department”s dedication to protecting the lives and property of citizens. He noted that no one would be permitted to disrupt the peace of the city and that safeguarding residents is the force”s foremost priority.

The SSP also encouraged public cooperation, urging citizens to report any suspicious individuals or activities to the nearest police station or the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” to help create a crime-free environment.
