Significant Improvement in Cleanliness Campaign Planning for Eid-ul-Adha: Karachi Chamber

The President of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Muhammad Javed Bilwani, highly praised the remarkable efforts of Karachi Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab and the Sindh government during Eid-ul-Adha for maintaining a clean environment in the city by effectively disposing of the remains of sacrificial animals.

Bilwani commended the proactive measures of the Mayor and Sindh government departments, highlighting that the timely cleaning of offal and animal waste was crucial for protecting public health and the environment, which made the festive experience enjoyable for the citizens.

He mentioned that Karachi has faced challenges in waste management during Eid-ul-Adha in the past; however, this time, there has been a significant improvement in the planning of the cleanliness campaign. There were no major complaints, which is an unprecedented success in recent years.

The KCCI President acknowledged the hard work of the workers from KMC, SSWMB, and other civic agencies, stating that their dedication has set a new benchmark for public service.

He also appreciated the Mayor’s pre-Eid awareness campaign and the strategic deployment of additional resources. The efforts to enhance public participation through the use of technology and social media were also valued.

Bilwani expressed hope that such partnerships would continue in the future to effectively address other city issues, such as water supply, traffic management, and solid waste disposal.

He assured that the Karachi Chamber would continue to provide every possible support to improve the quality of life for citizens, as cleanliness is a fundamental right of every citizen and is of utmost importance for any commercial hub.
