Sindh Home Minister Zia-ul- Hassan Lanjar today inaugurated the upgraded Citizens-Police Liaison Committee’s (CPLC) Call Center 1102, emphasizing the need for enhanced crime-fighting tools and techniques across the Sindh province.
During his visit, CPLC Chief briefed the minister on the organization’s initiatives aimed at curbing crimes. Lanjar called for further upgrades to the CPLC to ensure more effective results, vowing full government support.
Lanjar also instructed Sindh’s Inspector General of Police to submit recommendations for the installation of surveillance cameras and the provision of drones along police lines, stations, and procession routes. These proposals are expected to be included in next fiscal year’s budget.
The minister stressed the importance of a swift response to complaints received via Police Helpline 15 and highlighted the necessity of the “S4 Safe City Project” for Karachi’s security infrastructure. ‘Modern techniques in crime-fighting are essential to ensuring success,’ Lanjar concluded.
