Sindh Ombudsman and NGO Ink Pact to Provide Free Justice to Citizens

In a significant move to enhance public access to justice, the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding between Provincial Ombudsman Sindh and Hands Welfare Foundation was held at the Provincial Ombudsman Sindh headquarter in Karachi.

According to an official report today, Chairman Hands Sheikh Tanveer Ahmed attended the ceremony along with CEO Maqbool Ahmed and Chief Executive Services Mohammad Anis. Director General Provincial Ombudsman Sindh Naseemuddin Mirani and CEO Hands Maqbool Ahmed signed the agreement at the ceremony. Under the agreement, a joint action plan is to be developed for the provision of better and free justice to the public.

Earlier, Mohammad Sohail Rajput gave a detailed briefing to the delegation of Hands Welfare Foundation about the Provincial Ombudsman Sindh and said that the main responsibility of the Provincial Ombudsman Sindh is to resolve public complaints related to government departments, for which they are launching a complaint management system next month for its effective resolution. He said that the modern complaint system will prove to be helpful and a milestone in the immediate resolution of public complaints. On this occasion, Chairman Sheikh Tanveer Ahmed gave a detailed briefing about the Hands Welfare Foundation.

He said that the Provincial Ombudsman Sindh under the leadership of Mohammad Sohail Rajput is rendering valuable services for the resolution of public complaints, while both the institutions will take joint steps to promote good governance in Sindh. Secretary Mansoor Abbas Rizvi, Registrar Masood Ishrat, Advisor Rehana G Ali Memon, Director Coordination Imdad Hussain Siddiqui, Consultant IT Akmal Naseem and others were also present at the ceremony.
