Slight increase in exchange rates of Euro, Pound, Yen while US Dollar remains stable

In the currency market today, the US Dollar is maintaining its position with minor changes, while the exchange rates of Euro, British Pound, and Japanese Yen have seen a slight increase against the Pakistani Rupee.

In the open market, the US Dollar maintained a buying rate of 278.84 PKR and a slightly lower selling rate of 279.68 PKR. This stability contrasts with the Euro, whose buying rate increased to 320.15 PKR and selling rate to 323.06 PKR.

The British Pound also followed this trend, with its buying value rising to 376.87 PKR and selling at 380.18 PKR. Meanwhile, the Japanese Yen was bought at 1.71 PKR and sold at 1.78 PKR, indicating a small upward movement.

The UAE Dirham and Saudi Riyal showed minor changes, with the Dirham’s buying and selling rates remaining at 76.24 PKR and 76.78 PKR, respectively, and the Riyal’s at 74.59 PKR and 75.08 PKR.

In contrast, the interbank market saw the US Dollar’s buying price stable at 277.95 PKR, with a slight increase in the selling rate reaching 278.15 PKR.

Overall, on 20 July 2026, the currency market demonstrated resilience, with the US Dollar largely unchanged while the Euro, Pound, and Yen moved slightly upwards compared to two days earlier.
