A dispute on Sunday over a minor delay in serving bread escalated to a tragic conclusion in the village of Tagro near Khairpur, where Sarmad Panhwar, a young man, killed his mother, Zarina Panhwar, with a sharp object because she took too long to serve him bread.

The incident sent shockwaves through the local community. Reports suggest that Sarmad Panhwar lost control in a sudden burst of anger and inflicted fatal injuries on his mother. After the attack, he fled the scene, leaving his family and neighbors in dismay.

Authorities were alerted shortly after the incident. Officers from Khara Police Station responded to the distress call, securing the area and taking the victim’s body into custody. The body was transported to GIMS Hospital for necessary postmortem examinations, following which it was released to the grieving family for funeral proceedings.

Currently, the police have initiated an extensive search for Sarmad Panhwar, conducting multiple raids in an effort to apprehend him. A formal case has been filed, marking the beginning of a legal pursuit to bring the accused to justice.
