Islamabad, February 09, 2022 (PPI-OT):A meeting of the Standing Committee on National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination was held on 8th February, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in Committee Room of Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination, Kohsar Block, Islamabad under the Chairmanship of Mr. Khalid Hussain Magsi, MNA.
Before the actual proceeding could take place the Committee expressed its concern over the non-presence of President and vice President PMC in the meeting however, the Additional Secretary M/o NHSRC assured the Committee that he would ensure the presence of President and vice President PMC in the next meeting.
The Committee also expressed its displeasure over the non-availability of paracetamol in the market. The Committee was informed that due to increase in Prices of raw material the pharmaceutical companies stop its production however, the board of DRAP considered the issue and accord approval for increase in prices of the salt. The ministry assured that the supply and demand issue will be resolved.
The Committee discussed “The Islamabad Health Care Regulation Bill, 2022” (Government Bill) in detail. The Committee was apprised by the Ministry about the salient features of the Bill. The Committee supported the ministry on the said legislation therefore, the Committee pass the “Islamabad Health Care Regulation Bill, 2022” as introduced in the National Assembly however, Ms. Shazia Sobia Aslam Soomro, MNA submitted her note of dissent against the said Bill. The Committee deferred “The ICT Tuberculosis (Notification) Bill, 2022 (moved by Ms. Uzma Riaz, MNA) till the next meeting of the Committee.
The following MNAs, Mr. Nasir Khan Musa Zai, Mr. Jai Parkash, Raja Khurram Shahzad Nawaz, Ms. Zille Huma, Ms. Fozia Behram, Ms. Aliya Hamza Malik, Dr. Nisar Ahmed Cheema, Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad Malik, Dr. Darshan, Mr. Ramesh Lal, Mr. Mahesh Kumar Malani, Dr. Shazia Sobia Aslam, Ms. Shams-un-Nisa, Dr. Samina Matloob, and Movers of the Bills Ms. Uzma Riaz attended the meeting.
