Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah has confirmed that a strict security plan has been implemented across the province for the Youm-e-Ali processions and majalis, citing the “tense and war-like situation” in the region.
The Chief Minister said today that a comprehensive security plan has been formulated to ensure the protection of the public’s life and property on this religious occasion.
In his message to the people, Mr. Shah said, “We all must demonstrate peace, unity, and responsibility.”
The security announcement was part of the Chief Minister’s official message issued for the martyrdom day of Hazrat Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (AS) on Wednesday, the 21st of Ramadan.
Paying tribute, Mr. Shah described the teachings of Imam Ali (AS) as “a supreme model of justice, courage, and humanity,” and said that he always taught the importance of supporting truth, justice, and the oppressed.
The Chief Minister said, “Youm-e-Ali (the day of Ali’s martyrdom) reminds us that steadfastness on the path of truth is the real success,” adding that the Imam’s life is a “beacon of unity, knowledge, and piety” for the Muslim Ummah.
He appealed to the citizens to draw guidance from the life of Imam Ali (AS) to promote justice and tolerance in society.
Mr. Shah emphasized, “On this day, we should pledge that we will adopt the teachings of Hazrat Ali (AS) in our practical lives.”
Describing the martyrdom as “a great and painful chapter in the history of Islam,” the Chief Minister concluded his message with the prayer that “the Lord of the Universe may grant our country peace, stability, and prosperity.”
