Commissioner Sukkur Division, Fayyaz Hussain Abbasi, has announced the imposition of Section 144 to ban unauthorized cattle markets across the division. The decision follows recommendations from Deputy Commissioner Sukkur, Dr. M.B. Raja Dharejo, who raised concerns about potential sanitation, health, and traffic issues. This measure, effective until June 9, restricts cattle markets solely to those officially designated by local governments.
The notification specifies that any cattle market not officially sanctioned are prohibited. Commissioner Abbasi has instructed relevant Station House Officers to file written complaints against violators under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code. This action aims to address the challenges posed by illegal cattle trading activities in the region.
