Mega Motor Company (MMC), BYD’s official partner in Pakistan, today executed a landmark nationwide delivery of 100 Atto 2 electric vehicles on a single day, signalling a notable acceleration in the country’s shift towards electric mobility amid rising conventional fuel prices.
This large-scale, coordinated handover builds on the momentum from BYD”s previous vehicle launches and reflects a growing consumer appetite for New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) in the country.
The deliveries were conducted concurrently in multiple cities through BYD’s expanding network of experience centres and dealerships, underscoring the brand’s growing retail and customer service footprint in the nation.
Positioned as an affordable and practical solution for urban mobility, the BYD Atto 2 offers a cost-efficient alternative to traditional petrol-powered cars. The vehicle aims to make electric driving more accessible by combining modern design with advanced technology and everyday functionality.
This milestone follows the recent introduction of BYD’s flagship Sealion 7 model in Pakistan, for which deliveries are also underway. Together, the models signify the company”s commitment to broadening its portfolio and strengthening its presence in Pakistan”s evolving EV market.
Lei Jian, Country Head for BYD Pakistan, commented on the development, stating that Pakistan is a significant market in the company’s global strategy. “As we continue to expand our portfolio here, our focus remains on making advanced electric vehicle technology accessible to more customers while supporting the country’s transition toward cleaner and more sustainable transportation,” he said.
Danish Khaliq, Vice President of Sales and Strategy at BYD Pakistan-Mega Motor Company, highlighted the importance of consumer trust. ‘The encouraging pace of EV adoption and the growing number of BYD vehicles already on the road reflect the increasing confidence Pakistani consumers have in electric mobility,’ he remarked, adding that providing a seamless ownership journey is a key priority.
A customer receiving their vehicle at one of the events expressed satisfaction with the experience. ‘The whole process from booking to delivery was very smooth, and it feels great to finally receive the car. Getting the delivery just before Eid makes it even more special for my family.’
With more of its electric cars now on the nation’s roads, BYD-MMC expects to further stimulate the adoption of electric transport, offering a practical and efficient alternative for Pakistani motorists.
