Suspects involved in multiple robbery incidents arrested in Karachi, one citizen injured in exchange of fire

Karachi Police on Thursday conducted multiple encounters with alleged suspects in various districts, resulting in the arrest of seven individuals, five of whom were injured. Separately, a citizen was also reported to have been shot during a robbery incident.

In District West, Iqbal Market Sector 1.5, an exchange of fire occurred as a result of a police encounter. Subsequently, two alleged robbers, Muhammad Arshad alias K2 (who was injured) and Anas Bashir, were taken into custody. Authorities recovered a loaded pistol, mobile phone, cash, and a motorcycle from their possession. The injured suspect has been shifted to the hospital, and Iqbal Market Police Station is conducting further investigations.

Another incident occurred in District East, Block 19, near Sultan Mosque. After an exchange of fire, a suspect named Naseer was arrested in an injured condition. However, his accomplice managed to escape. A loaded pistol and a motorcycle were confiscated. The injured person is receiving medical aid, and Shahrah-e-Faisal Police Station is continuing its investigation.

A third encounter took place in District West in Sector 16. After a brief exchange of fire, three alleged robbers – Muhammad Tahir, Irfan, and Ali Asghar – were arrested, all in injured condition. Police seized a loaded pistol, mobile phones, cash, and a motorcycle. The injured trio has been admitted to the hospital, and Pakistan Bazaar Police Station is continuing its investigations.

Unfortunately, during a robbery in Yusuf Market Green Town, a citizen named Arshad son of Ashfaq, aged 40 years, was injured by a gunshot wound upon resistance. The victim has been admitted to JPMC for immediate medical aid. Shah Faisal Police Station is further investigating the matter.
