Lahore, August 25, 2022 (PPI-OT):Provincial Minister of Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal Ghazanfar Abbas formally inaugurated MIS. The MIS will facilitate online registration of disabled persons, the system will also provide access to the gender segregated database and the PCRDP website. MIS will provide information on private companies offering employment under the disabled quota set by the government. Under this system, it will help to provide jobs to disabled people.
This system will also help in digitizing all the old records of disabled people. Through this system more than ten thousand disabled person registered at district level so far and disability certificates have been issued. More than three lakh disability certificates have been issued so far by Punjab Council for Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons (PCRDP).
In the opening ceremony, Minister Livestock Shahabuddin, Minister IT Arsalan Khalid, Special Assistant to Chief Minister Punjab Taimur Lali, MPA Irfanullah Niazi, representatives of WHO, Dr. Pitha, Dr. Maryam, Secretary Social Welfare Ruqas Ali Mehmood, Secretaries of Stakeholder Organizations, Director General Social Welfare Faiz Naeem Warraich, Director PCRDP Irfan Gondal, civil society, special persons and related officers were present.
