In a direct move to tackle public grievances, senior officials from the capital police force, including the Deputy Inspector General and the Senior Superintendent of Police for Operations, have initiated open courts to personally hear and resolve citizen complaints.
According to a report by the Capital Police today, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police Muhammad Jawad Tariq and the SSP of Operations conducted these public forums from their respective offices, issuing on-the-spot instructions to remedy the issues brought to their attention.
The officials highlighted that residents also have the option to lodge complaints via the “IGP Complaint Cell 1715.” This initiative is part of a broader directive from Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, who has mandated all senior officers to arrange similar open forums throughout the district.
In compliance with the IGP”s instructions, all zonal Superintendents of Police (SPs) are now holding open courts within their jurisdictions. This district-wide effort aims to ensure citizens” concerns are properly heard and settled in a timely manner.
