A high-level delegation of university leaders and academicians, led by HE Rt Hon Lord Paul Boateng CVO of the House of Lords, London, met with Speaker Syed Awais Qadir Shah at the Provincial Assembly of Sindh.

The delegation included Richard Grose (Dean of Queen Mary, University of London), Professor Wendy Thomson CBE (Vice Chancellor of the University of London), Dr. Tony Degazon (Regional Manager for City and Guilds), and Pete Taylor (COO of the University of Greenwich). Speaker Syed Awais Qadir Shah, accompanied by Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah and Secretary Muhammad Abbas Baloch, discussed potential student exchange programs to enhance learning opportunities for students in Sindh.

Hon Lord Paul Boateng commended the Speaker’s interest and commitment to the education sector and youth development. Discussions also covered teacher training programs, aimed at modernizing vocational training institutions in Sindh with modern curriculum and technology. Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah reaffirmed his department’s full support for future initiatives.

The Speaker hosted the delegation on a tour of the historic Provincial Assembly buildings, honoring them with traditional Sindhi Ajrak and caps. The delegation expressed gratitude to Speaker Syed Awais Qadir Shah for his warm hospitality and continuous support.
