President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have expressed profound grief over the martyrdom of a ten-year-old child, who was killed by unprovoked firing from terrorists during a security operation in Khyber.
In separate statements today, the leaders also commended the country’s security forces for successfully conducting an operation against the Fitna al Khwarij group in the region.
The President noted that such acts of terror aim to undermine the strenuous efforts being made by Pakistan’s leadership to promote peace regionally and worldwide.
He affirmed that the nation would defeat terrorism while continuing its prominent role in fostering global and regional stability. Echoing this resolve, the Prime Minister reaffirmed that the campaign against terrorism would not cease until it is completely eradicated from the country.
Shehbaz Sharif emphasised that the entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with its armed forces in their unwavering commitment to combat the menace.
