Traffic Management – Islamabad Traffic Police Acts To Curb Bazaar Congestion

Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has implemented new protocols to alleviate traffic congestion near weekly bazaars, following directives from Chief Traffic Officer, Capt. (retd) Hamzah Humayun, a police report said today.

The initiative aims to ensure smooth traffic movement and minimize inconvenience for shoppers. Senior ITP officials conducted site visits to evaluate traffic patterns and brief officers on effective management strategies. Emphasis was placed on diligent duty performance. Personnel were strategically stationed at entrances, exits, parking zones, and critical points to maintain order.

Capt. Humayun urged the public to utilize designated parking spaces to avoid disrupting traffic flow. He cautioned that violations would result in penalties and other legal repercussions. The CTO emphasized the ITP”s commitment to public convenience and order, appealing to citizens to observe traffic regulations and demonstrate civic responsibility.

Ensuring public safety and maintaining seamless traffic movement within the capital are paramount for the Islamabad Police, Capt. Humayun affirmed.
